Hello again!

Well it's been far too long since we've been here on the old blog...actually it's been a whole year
and boy have we got some catching up to do!
Lots of big changes have gone on at A Sea of Bloom including a move to a new location.
We're still in Sooke, just down the road a bit on Otter Point road.
We had the chance to move into a bigger space, a good opportunity
to combine the flower shop and our sister shop 'Inspire'.
So come on in...
Having a bigger shop gives us the chance to showcase more than just our beautiful flowers.
This area is chock full of talented artisans who we now showcase.
There's so much to see!...let's have a closer look around...
Winter's not over yet west coasters so keep in mind these uber cosy
slippers by Upcyler Extraordinaire Gillian from Urban Gypsy...
She takes previously loved wool blankets and sweaters and turns them into gorgeous, indoor
footwear, embellished by lovely buttons and coloured thread.
For a bigger, warmer item, she also designs and makes lovely throws...
Resident Scottish knitter Marion Logan creates the sweetest little sweaters
using washable wool for the wee ones. This little fisherman cable knit is a favourite...
...how about this cute little hoody with the Hudson Bay influence!..
More sweet woollens from local knitter Sarah at Quail Creations...
Funky little poncho...
And these little bunting bags. These are an old fashioned way to keep your baby warm, especially in
the stroller. They are cocooned and the bunting bag won't slip off like a blanket will...
Alright, lets talk body products. After years of chemically laden soaps, lotions and room sprays,
people are wanting a healthier alternative for themselves as well as for the environment.
All of our products are made locally without harsh, artificial ingredients.
Hillary from Huckleberry Hill...
The lovely Candice from JR Soapworks...(this one smells DIVINE)
The ever popular Soulful Sisters many products...
We also carry DoTerra essential oils sourced from the places where the plants
grow best and are fair traded with the growers and gatherers...
We have quite a selection of lovely scents of our many products so feel free to come in and try some of our testers...
Now, something for the taste buds.
Did you know we carry Silk Road teas? 14 yummy flavours to choose from and
the same price as their downtown Victoria location without having to drive 45 minutes!
Have you ever had REAL sea salt?
Salt makers Saltwest, makes some amazing concoctions collected
from our local waters and processed only 10 minutes away!..
Infused with flavours like Roasted Garlic & Onion, Rosemary & Sage, Smashed Peppercorn
and Sweet Smokey Maple, these are a must for any culinary enthusiast!
They also make tasty cocktail rimmers for Caesar's and Margaritas.
Now that we've got the tasty bits sorted, lets have a look at some jewellery.
Sweet Harriet makes some gorgeous antique style pendants and earrings and we're
super happy to have her work in our shop...
 Love the Egyptian influence...
We also have not one but two very talented lamp work glass artists who we represent.
First up is Lori from Dragonfly Organic Art...
And Debbie Sailor's work is equally gorgeous...
We've also started featuring Christine Richter's silver spoon pendants...
So that's just a sampling of whats on offer here at the new location.
And as always...we're always happy to help with your floral needs with
the freshest and most lovely designs...
So next time you're at The Stick, The Barking Dog, Stone Pipe Grill, Southshore Gallery, A Tale of
the Whale, or Boutique West, stop in for a visit...we're all here on the same strip.
See you soon!
