New and gorgeous!

So you've got someone on your gift list that may have everything...
Well I bet they don't have hand blown aperitif / shooter glasses!
These are beautifully hand crafted, little cups of joy...
They're made one by one on the mainland and finished in the most yummy amber honey colour!
If you're looking at them without the light coming through them then they possess this lovely
opalescent pearly tone...
Once again, with the light showing off that amazing glass work...
So smooth on the lips...the only thing that would make them better
is a nice shot of Baileys Irish Cream...
Or perhaps a little after dinner Harvey's Bristol Cream Sherry...
The same company also creates these hand blown wine stoppers...
Can't you just see this sitting in the neck of a gorgeous chilled Chardonnay?
The colours and texture in the glass are stunning!
And of course are one of a kind...
This one made with recycled crushed glass in a beautiful bronze gold...
 But wait there's more!
Hand blown glass wine charms to distinguish every ones wine glass at the dinner party...
This would make the most unique hostess gift wouldn't it?
Come on by and start your shopping early.
Like we said, these gifts are one of a kind and won't last long...

California meets Vancouver Island...

As mentioned in our last post we had 7 weddings in 2 days last weekend!
Of course they were all lovely and you can have a look here  for more photos.
But one in particular was stunning.
We went to do a photo shoot of the flowers before the wedding on
location at Craidelonna , an amazing guest house on the coast
just up the road from Sooke.
Attention to detail is Ritchard, the caretaker's speciality!
The wedding was that of Michaela and Jose from California.
Her folks live on one of the Gulf Islands near here and Andrea (mom of the bride)
organised the flowers through us.
She was an absolute joy to work with.
Craidelonna sits above the ocean overlooking
the Straight of Juan de Fuca...
Let's head down to the set up...
The bride requested a wild flower country look for her bouquet and Karen's
 design work came through tremendously.
The colours were yellow, green and purple...
Beautifully French tied with fabric and ribbon from the mother of the bride...
We also made up these two vintage style bird cages which were a big hit...
Hydrangeas and lavender figured prominently in the table arrangements...
Each of the arrangements were of mixed flowers as long as they
were in keeping with the colour scheme...
One of the fun elements for the reception was the addition of a vintage
typewriter for guests to leave a message for the bride and groom...the 'old fashioned' way.
We even made a corsage especially for it!

Here's a sneak peak of the ceremony area...
If you're a dog owner then you know that a four footed friend will be in attendance.
Introducing...Baxter...
A friendly old lad who just wanted to be part of it all.
Unfortunately he did not want anything to do with wearing a boutonniere!
Shake it off old boy!
Since the groom and his folks were of Mexican descent,
the brides sister made these fun pinatas...

Also on hand to celebrate the south were these lovely
paper cut out banners from Mexico...
A few more shots for you and we'll say adieu for now...
As always, thanks for stopping by and you know who to call for all
of your floral needs!

XOXO!!!
